Logo design that's a magnet for scrap metal recycling customers
When scrap metal recycling specialist Metal Harvest changed their name, they came to us at White Rabbit to create a new logo and marketing materials. The new branding we designed helped to position the company as a leader in its field.
Getting the hardest harvest part of marketing right with great design
After purchasing Manurewa Recycling and changing its name to Metal Harvest, the new owners of this established company asked us to create a new logo and other marketing materials. The company provides metal recycling services, handling everything from copper and aluminium to gearboxes and batteries.
The change of name provided our designers with an excellent starting point for the project. The harvest part of the company name connects with the recycling nature of the business and symbolises renewal, growth, and success. These ideas fed into the process as our designers developed new logo concepts.
Our team created a logo mark using the initials of the company name. They also used thick strokes to create a design that is weighty and strong to connect with the materials that Metal Harvest works with. A vibrant yellow was also used, creating an icon that would become a key part of the company’s brand.
For the company name, we used a clean and dominant typeface that fits perfectly with the brand and complements the icon. This final logo design was then used to create signage, a new HTML email signature (with direct dial and Google Maps links), business cards, and other marketing materials.
Scrap metal recycling company logo and business card design
The front side of the business cards we designed for Metal Harvest feature the full logo. On the reverse side, we applied the logo icon on the left with the contact details on the right. We used a clean and easy-to-read font with icons for the various contact elements. To enhance the design further, we also added a bold yellow outline using the same angles as the logo icon.
We used a striking, industry-specific hero image on the homepage of Metal Harvest's website to engage visitors as soon as they land on the page.
Scrap metal yard website design
We used the vibrant yellow colour generously in the design of the new website to ensure consistency with the design and also because it created a fantastic colour contrast with the images of scrap metal that feature on the site’s pages. The website has an easy to read layout, with customised icons and a clear font.
We also provided Metal Harvest with copywriting services, creating copy for five pages using a tone of voice that appeals to their customers. A contact form, social media links, and WhatsApp message links were also included.
