Tee-rific golf club branding
Maungakiekie Golf Club is renowned for its stunning views and contoured greens. They were after a new golf course logo design that would honour its unique heritage in a modern way while appealing to golf players of all stages. Their old logo was dated and was not scalable to carry across to various collateral.
Our Auckland graphic design agency aimed to create a meaningful logomark by going in a deep dive of the course’s unique landscape and history. Situated on One Tree Hill, a site rich in cultural significance, the design draws inspiration from this iconic location and the prominent Tōtara tree that once stood there. The resulting golf course logo design features the Tōtara tree within a badge shape. This design choice not only pays homage to the club’s existing logo through the badge shape, but also introduces fresh elements, blending tradition with a renewed sense of identity.
The typeface selected for the logo is friendly and inviting, reflecting the welcoming atmosphere of the club. The colour palette includes navy and vibrant yellow to evoke both the traditional and modern spirit of the golf course. The new golf club branding is not only visually appealing but also versatile, adaptable to different formats and uses. Whether on signage, apparel or business cards, the logo maintains its clarity and impact.
